Aid Items For Ukraine Still Being Collected
Falmouth resident Susan Johnson is continuing to collect donation items to send to Ukraine to assist ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian aid to the war-torn country.
Ms. Johnson, a resident of Pondlet Place, began collecting medical items after the crisis began in late February. She has been working with other collaborators on-Cape, including Edita Stuckey, a Bosnian refugee who has been working with NuDay, a New Hampshire-based nonprofit that sends humanitarian aid to nations in crisis.
An event was held on May 28 in Centerville where Ms. Johnson and Ms. Stuckey were able to meet and further arrange another shipment of supplies to be sent to Ukraine through collaboration with NuDay.
