UCT Athletics Banner Night Is Friday
Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School will celebrate the athletic achievements of the school’s student athletes tonight with a special banner reveal.
A news release from the school earlier this week states that its student athletes have “achieved remarkable success this year with the golf team, boys’ soccer team and the girls’ basketball team all achieving the title of Mayflower League Champions.”
In celebration of this year’s accomplishments, UCT will host a special banner reveal at halftime during the boys’ varsity basketball game tonight in the school’s gymnasium.
In an email to the Enterprise, UCT Athletic Director Benjamin Rabinovitch elaborated on the success of this year’s athletics teams. Girls’ basketball, he said, is 11-2; boys’ basketball is 11-4.
Tonight’s ceremony will highlight the boys’ soccer team, which won the Mayflower League title and was runner-up in the state Vocational Championship, Mr. Rabinovitch said. The golf team won the regular season Mayflower South title, the Mayflower League Tournament and the state Vocational Championship, he said, which marks the second time the team has earned such titles in the past three years.
Parents, students, faculty and community members are encouraged to join UCT in celebrating the student athletes’ success and to cheer on the boys’ varsity basketball team, which is facing off against Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. The game will begin at 6:30 PM.
