Pedestrian MedFlighted To Boston After Collision
A man was MedFlighted to Boston after being struck by a car on Teaticket Highway Saturday night.
Falmouth Police were dispatched to the scene in front of the Teaticket Cumberland Farms around 8:48 PM. Officers found the man on the ground with severe head and body trauma. He was later transported by helicopter to a Boston hospital.
Initial investigation indicates that the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when he was struck by the vehicle traveling south on Teaticket Highway while crossing toward Cumberland Farms.
The crash remains under investigation and the driver of the SUV is said to be fully cooperating with police. In a press release, the Falmouth Police said that the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section (CARS) unit are assisting with the investigation.
