Donations For Ukraine Still Being Collected In Falmouth

Local organizers in Falmouth are still collecting donations as part of an ongoing effort to provide relief to Ukraine.

Various collaborators from across Cape Cod have come together over the past few months to spearhead efforts for collecting and shipping donated items to Ukraine. Individuals in Falmouth have been working closely with grassroots organizations such as NuDay, a New Hampshire-based nonprofit that sends humanitarian aid to nations in crisis, to gather and ship medical and humanitarian supplies to the country that has been at war with Russia for four months.

Donations are currently being accepted at 28 Pondlet Place in Falmouth; collections will be ongoing until further notice. The following is a list of items acceptable for donation:

Medical:

  • Acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin (unopened, six-plus months expiration date), burn ointment, iodine, Vaseline, antibiotic cream, activated charcoal, bandages, hydrogen peroxide, Epsom salts, tourniquets, water purification tablets, crutches, canes, wheelchairs.

Hygiene:

  • Feminine care products, dry shampoo powder (no aerosol), shower wipes.

Food:

  • Nonperishable food, especially powdered milk, canned tuna, baby food, granola bars, protein bars and drinks (no glass or expired food).

Miscellaneous:

New toys and stuffed animals for hospitals and refugee centers, summer and sportswear, batteries, solar chargers, generators, backpacks, tents.
