Hazmat Crews Called To Falmouth Hospital

Hazardous material technicians were called to Falmouth Hospital to investigate an incident late Friday afternoon, marking the second hazmat incident at the hospital so far this year.

Firefighters were called to investigate “a sulfur-like smell” in the IV Therapy section of Falmouth Hospital and state hazmat crews were called in at about 5 PM. At this time, no injuries or disruptions to patient services have been reported.

The incident comes just over a month after the emergency room was shut down for several hours following a fentanyl contamination incident.
